How CafeOS works
Sessions and billing
A session is someone using a PC. It starts when a member logs in, a ticket is used, or staff start a walk-in from the counter. While it runs, the server charges it every minute at the rate for that PC and time of day.
- Members pay from their wallet. The PC shows the balance dropping live.
- Tickets carry pesos or minutes and are used up the same way.
- Walk-ins buy time up front (1, 2 or 3 hours at your prices) or play on open time and pay at the end.
When time or balance runs out, the session goes on hold: the PC locks, but the player's game stays open for a few minutes (the grace period). Extending, topping up or entering another ticket continues the session. If nobody does, the session ends and the PC is cleared.
When things go wrong
- A PC loses its connection: it keeps time on its own and reports it when it reconnects, so nothing is lost.
- A PC is switched off or crashes: its session pauses and isn't billed until it's back.
- The internet goes down: nothing in the shop changes.
